What is NOT included in cruise fare?
Additional expenses will incldue airfare to and from Miami, transportation to and from the port, pre-cruise hotel (if arriving the night before), alcoholic and certain other on-board beverages (soda, specialty coffees, bottled water), purchases, spa & casino and any expenses incurred while ashore in Key West and Cozumel.
Do I need a passport?
YES, you will need a passport! Regardless of whether or not you disembark in Cozumel, you will be required to have a valid passport before boarding the ship in Miami. We will be traveling in interational waters and you will be required to show your passport to clear customs upon returning to Miami.
Will I get seasick?
While sea conditions cannot be predicted, ships of this size are equipped with stabilizers that minimize motion under normal conditions. For those who are prone to motion sickness, over-the-counter medications, skin patches and pressure point wrist bands can all help.
Will I feel claustrophobic?
The inside of cruise ships are very similiar to the inside of a large hotel. Millennium has plenty of space to "get away" from it all if you prefer a quiet place to sit and read. She is fille diwth beautiful lounges, dining areas and outdoor deck spaces to prevent anyone from feeling claustrophobic.
Is Mexico safe?
There have been no reports of violence in Cozumel, and as it is an island, the changes of issues arising are slim. As in any unfamiliar city, it is important to be aware of your surroundings, but there is no need to feel unsafe. However, no one is required to leave the ship, so you may remain onboard the entire day in Cozumel.
Will there be long lines?
Embarkation is typically a very quick process without long lines. Busy times in the buffet restaurant can require you to go through a line but these are typically short. Getting off and on the ship in port is normally a quick process as well.
Can I book through my own travel agent or the cruise line?
No. In order for you to recieve the IHEA rates and to count towards the IHEA group block, you must book through IHEA.
Are there specific airlines or flights to book?
You can choose which every airline you prefer. We do recommend arriving the night before departure or no later than 10:30 AM on the 29th. Check out surrounding airports to find the cheapest flights. Ft. Lauderdale is only about 45 minutes from the Port of Miami. Another option is Southwest Florida International Aiport in Ft. Myers. It is 2 1/2 hours away but often has less expensive options.
When can I board?
Boarding typically commences about 11:30 AM on embarkation day. Plant ot be onboard at least two hours prior to sailing. Sailing time is 4:30 PM.
