Education Committee
The Education Committee is in the process of developing the IHEA Industrial Heat Processing Course which will serve as a valuable program for individuals interested in learning or advancing their knowledge in heat processing technology. The Committee is also engaged in the review and updating of the Association's Combustion Technology Manual and Heat Processing Manual.

Government Relations Committee
The Committee is involved in several initiatives evolving from the U.S. Department of Energy/Office of Industrial Technologies and IHEA joint development of the DOE/IHEA Roadmap of Industrial Heat Processing. The Association is also working with OIT under an Allied Partnership Program. The Committee provides support of the DOE "Process Heating Advisory Committee" which was formed by DOE and IHEA to meet specific needs of user companies in heat processing technology.

Program Planning Committee
The Committee is involved in developing the program and related activities for the Association's Annual Meeting, including recommendations for subject matter, speaker designations, and other functions of the meeting. Development of the Annual Fall Conference is also a responsibility of the Program Planning Committee.

Safety Standards and Codes Committee
The Committee reviews all standards standing and proposed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and other organizations relating to industrial furnaces and ovens. Changes to the NFPA 86 Series Standards proposed by the Committee are submitted to the NFPA 86 Committee for review and approval. A current program of a special Sub-Committee involves a review of U.S. and European industrial heat processing standards to determine possible differences and effects.
