2:00 PM - 3:00 PM "The Impact of Environmental & Energy Policies Changes:  An Update"
Chuck Foster, Foster & Jamison

Energy and environmental issues have always been important to American industry, but today maybe more than ever.  Will your business be impacted by new laws addressing climate change and minimum energy efficiency standards?  Can your business profit from these changes?  Chuck Foster will provide an overview and update of threats and opportunities facing IHEA's members during this one hour session.

Chuck Foster has worked in the energy industry for more than thirty years in a number of different capacities. From 1975 until 1990, he worked for a mechanical contracting firm that specialized in the construction of small-scale renewable energy projects including solar and biomass projects. In 1990 he went to work for a public utility, the Potomac Electric Power Company in Washington, D.C., where he advised senior management on energy policy issues. Between 1993 and 1996, Mr. Foster served as an Assistant Attorney General (Utilities and Insurance) for the Commonwealth of Virginia and in 1996 he went to work for the Edison Electric Institute where he lobbied on behalf of investor owned electric utilities.

He left EEI in 2001 and formed Commonwealth Green Energy, a renewable energy development company where he continues to serve as President. Since the formation of CGE in 2001, he has partnered with Pepco Energy Services in the development of 5 landfill gas projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.
3:00 - 4:00 PM "Health Care Reform and It's Potential Affects on IHEA Members"
Jeri Kubicki, Vice-President of NAM's Human Resource Policy

Health care reform is on every newscast, in every paper and the subject of many emails circulating in cyberspace. Even if you've taken the time to read the entire Health Care Reform bill, it's still tough to get your hands around it. Jeri Kubicki will join us to try and break it down to show how the bill might affect IHEA members and learn how you can have a voice now while the bill goes throug the overhauls and re-writes.

Jeri Kubicki leads workplace policy issues including education, job training, health care, immigrantion, and occupational safety at NAM. Before joining the NAM, Jeri served over 10 years in a variety of posts with NCR Corporation, most recently as Director of Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. In this role, Jeri was responsible for promoting NCR's interests before Congress and the Administration in the areas of health information technology, data privacy and pension reform. Prior to that, she was based out of Dayton, OH and served as Corporate Environmental Health & Safety Compliance Director and Global Environmental Health and Safety Director, leading the company's environmental health and safety program. Jeri has extensive experience in occupational safety and health policy, management systems and compliance assurance.

Jeri holds an M.S. in Environmental Health and Industrial Hygience from University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and a B.S. in Environmental Health Sciences from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
