Welcome to the IRED. We are the Infrared Equipment Division (IRED) of the Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA). You may know us from our previous acronym "IREA", which was the Infrared Equipment Association. In early 2003, the IHEA and IREA recognized the mutual goals, benefits and synergies of the two associations, and agreed to consolidate. The IREA therefore became a new division of the IHEA, with the new letters of designation of IRED.

MISSION STATEMENT:  IRED's mission is to provide services to our members that will enhance our abilities to provide infrared energy products and services to end users in the industrial heat processing industry.

The IRED Business Case Tool now available.
The IRED Business Case Tool allows users to compare the economics of an existing industrial heating process with one optional process. This workbook is designed to compare existing natural gas fired equipment with infrared heaters powered by either natural gas or electric, but also can be used to compare any type of process heating technologies.

For a copy of the IRED Business Case Tool, please contact any IRED Member.
