Designed by Legendary Golf Course Architect Donald Ross in 1916, the Five Star (Golf Digest) East Course is known for its wide, tree-lined fairways and expansive greens.  When completed in 1918, it was the highest golf course in the United States at 6,400 feet in elevation (make sure you drink lots of water).  Ross declared it his best work.  The course is now a combination of the original Donald Ross design mixed with holes designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. in 1952 (Holes 7-15).  The East Course is ranked among the best golf courses in the Country.  (Hint:  putts break away from the mountains).  Take into consideration the course will be aeriated the week before we arrive.

Garden of the Gods and the U.S. Air Force Academy Tour

A trip to Colorado Springs wouldn’t be complete without visiting some of the area’s most famous landmarks.  Join us as we take an unforgettable trip to The Garden of the Gods, a natural landmark where our private guide will share information as we gaze at the dramatic views of sandstone rock formations against a backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak.  We’ll stop for lunch at the Garden before heading to the U.S. Air Force Academy, another National Historic Landmark.  The Academy serves as both an air force installation and university.  During our visit, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time in the Visitors Center where you can view a film documenting a year in the life of a cadet, the Academy Museum, and the majestic Cadet Chapel. This is a perfect way to end your stay at IHEA’s 87th Annual Meeting.

Seats are limited so please reserve early!
