Process Heating Assessment Training Seminars

This one-day course includes an introduction to process heating and process heating equipment such as furnaces, dryers, ovens, heaters, kilns etc. used by all major industries. The course includes discussion on combustion and other heating methods, heat transfer in furnaces, waste heat recovery, commonly used process heating controls and emissions from heating processes. The course highlights the use of a tool, Process Heating Assessment and Survey Tool (PHAST), which can be used to survey furnaces, to identify major energy using equipment, to prioritize improvement opportunities, and to assess available methods that can be used to improve thermal efficiency in an industrial plant. This course is designed for process engineers, plant operators, maintenance engineers, process heating equipment designers, plant or corporate energy coordinators, and consulting engineers.
