Explosions and fires in industrial heating systems can result in injury or loss of life, and loss of property and production.  Understanding the proper use of National Standards governing the compliant design and operation of ovens & furnaces is essential for everyone involved with this type of equipment.

This seminar is designed for individuals involved in the design, manufacture, service or operation of ovens, furnaces, kilns, dryers, thermal oxidizers and a wide range of industrial applications.  It is intended to help the attendee become better acquainted with the newest NFPA 86 - Standard for Ovens & Furnaces.

The two day Safety Standards Seminar provides a comprehensive review on the 2015 edition of NFPA 86 including updated requirements for:

  • Class A, B, C & Furnaces
  • PLC Based Burner Management System
  • Pulse Fired Systems
  • Multiple Burner Systems
  • Safety Shutoff Valves
  • Purge and Re-start
  • Calculation Methods for LFL
  • Gas Line Evacuation (Purging) & Charging
Additional topics will include:
  • Loss Prevention
  • Product Liability
  • Enforcement
  • Insurer Perspectives

Seminar speakers have a firsthand working knowledge in the development of NFPA 86 and will discuss changes in the NFPA 86 standard that was released in the Fall of 2015.  Learn about these important standard changes and how they affect your operations from members of the NFPA 86 Technical Committee who are directly involved with the maintenance of this Standard.
